Our client is a boutique, employee-owned, management consulting firm specialising in the local, state and central government sectors in Australia and New Zealand. Their focus is on developing innovative and effective solutions for the complex challenges their clients face. They are currently looking for someone with experience in the field of procurement to join their Sydney CBD based team. Along with other service offerings, the procurement team focuses on local and state government departments who need assistance on complex procurement projects up to $500,000 in value. This work has to date been across at various points in the lifecycle of the procurement process, from; 

  • procurement strategy
  • writing RFPs
  • contract design and development
  • engaging and managing participants throughout the process
  • evaluation and award
  • implementation and transition


The role

This key hire for the organisation will play a pivotal part in delivering to existing clients and working with senior leadership to expand the services in NSW. The current and future work will involve managing procurement across a range that includes Professional Services Contracts, ‘design only’ services and/or construction contracts, operation and maintenance contracts and public service contracts.

Your role will be to ensure the clients continue to get the best, and most sustainable outcomes, from the procurement process. As the NSW lead, you will be expected to come with the experience and capability to engage with clients, assess needs, recommend the best approach and manage the process – with support from the local and international team.
