Experienced Traffic and Transport Engineer, Melbourne

The role
The role will work closely with the Directors and Associate Directors of the Transport Engineering and Transport Planning teams on large, state significant projects along with managing multiple projects of their own. Coming in at consultant/senior consultant level, you will be responsible for undertaking and delegating a range of responsibilities, from complex problem solving and innovation, information analysis, SIDRA analytics, report writing and client engagement and liaison. Support from peers and the leadership team will ensure that you get to get up to speed with the firm's approach and focus on delivering a quality product and quickly take on your own projects and clients.

Key capabilities for this role include:

  • Traffic engineering / Transport planning experience – we would hope that you have managed projects, or had a large amount of autonomy on projects up to $100k in value.
  • Capable of managing own workload and delivering projects – time management skills along with the ability to delegate work effectively is key.
  • Effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders – strong written and verbal skills highly correlate with an individual’s ability to progress.
  • A collaborative approach to work and team mentality – we are a large office with a vast range of professionals available to you. Being able to work with others is highly advantageous.

The team and office
You will primarily be working with the longest established service offering of the firm, its transport engineering team. This will see you work with some of the foremost traffic and transport experts in the Victorian market. Projects will vary in size and type. Some current examples include;
