Role Overview

An opportunity with one of the few independent, employee-owned multidisciplinary consultancies remaining in the transport industry. You will be working with a mature team of traffic engineer and transport professionals based in the CBD office - lead by a genuinely employee-focused, manager who has extensive experience in the transport planning and modelling fields. This will be a great role for someone who enjoys leading and delivering transport planning projects for a variety of clients - and is keen to take on more of a team leadership role where they can contribute to the growth and direction of the services offered to end clients.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Taking a hands-on leading role in delivering network/precinct/corridor planning projects, urban mobility studies, transport strategies.
  • Help guide and manage the team in their delivery of transport modelling, localised traffic studies and TIA/Developer work.
  • Work with the division leader to build on existing relationships and develop new opportunities with State government agencies (TfNSW, DPIE etc), local councils and major developers.
  • Focus on improving capability and quality of output by the team - both in terms of delivering to client's expectations throughout an engagement and in the quality of report writing and output.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Demonstrable experience in the field of transport planning with the ability to highlight delivered projects (in the fields highlighted above) that have met/exceeded client expectations.
  • Good verbal and stakeholder engagement skills - comfortable leading meetings, engaging with clients.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including strong report writing skills. 
  • A genuine interest in nurturing and developing others.
  • A commitment to quality and continuous improvement in your own capabilities and the work you deliver
