Transport Analytics Leader, NSW

This is a great role for someone who is passionate about the field of transport modelling and analytics, who believes in the positive impact that this discipline can have on the way we develop transport networks and combat congestion.

You will be working in our clients Sydney office with a close-knit team of transport professionals. You will also have resources and support from the interstate teams of our clients Analytics division.

Role overview
The role will work closely with the planning and engineering teams and will be focused on delivering transport planning, modelling and analytical work from Government and the private sector. Your role will be to secure and deliver industry leading transport modelling and analytics projects for the clients of NSW.

The work you will be leading;
Projects will range in value, typically from $50,000 to $1m+ in value. It will include Operational models (Microsimulation and Mesoscopic), or Strategic models (Macroscopic).

The Position
Coming in at a Director/Associate Director level your role will be to lead the analytics service offering for our client in the NSW region. You will play a key role in pursuing future engagements, delivering projects, developing the capabilities of more junior team members, and working collaboratively on projects with your colleagues in the Sydney office and interstate teams.

What you will bring to the role

  • Prior, hands on experience in the transport modelling field. You will have demonstrable knowledge of micro, meso, or strategic modelling tools like EMME, CUBE, AIMSUN, VISSIM, VISUM. (note – it is not expected that you will have experience of all the above software packages)
  • Be confident in your ability to engage with clients to better understand their needs and develop a brief/proposal that clearly communicates the value our clients team can provide
  • Ability to collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders, working together in ensuring the service we offer meets and exceeds client expectations
  • Ability to work with and nurture more junior team members to help them advance their capabilities and progress their career within the company.
