Calibre Search is looking for a Candidate Manager/Resourcer to assist in servicing our existing clients in the transport, civil, urban infrastructure engineering and advisory sectors.

Depending on your level of experience you will either take on the full, end-to-end responsibility of engagements with support when required or will work collaboratively with the Director and current RPO manager on searches, build engagement with the talent pool, and work to define our clients’ needs and promote them to the market.

This can be a full-time or part-time role (minimum 3 days or 24 hours a week).

Skills and experience required:

  • Prior experience in recruitment is preferable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with candidates and represent our clients in a manner that instils confidence.
  • An ability to be objective and empathetic, listening to our clients and candidates and ensuring it is the right decision for both parties.
  • A commitment to improving and evolving the services we offer.
  • To work flexibly from home and our Darlinghurst office.
  • Work rights in Australia – at this time we are not looking to sponsor.

Not required:

  • We do not need you to cold call clients or candidates – our networks across our industries are extensive and our reputation is pretty solid. The focus of this role is to better service our existing clients and candidates.
  • We do not want combative recruiters –Our view is to always be transparent and address any potential issues early in the process so as to avoid problems at a later stage. We do not want salesy – this just does not fit our internal approach, nor do we believe it is what our clients want or need.

About Calibre Search

Calibre is a small search and advisory consultancy based in Sydney but operating nationally. Having worked in the same sectors for the past fourteen years we have built an extensive and close-knit relationship with both clients and the industry talent pools involved in the transport, civil, urban infrastructure engineering and advisory sectors.

What we believe has been behind our success has been our willingness to forgo short-term wins in order to ensure that the matches we make are long term successes for our clients and the candidates we introduce. We seek to highlight misalignments, be frank and honest with all parties involved, and optimize the recruitment process to minimise bias and misunderstanding by developing interview structures, work samples and other tools.
