Role overview

This is a great opportunity for a professional Transport Planner who is looking to play a lead role in developing a new service offering within a dynamic and progressive firm. As a Transport Planner, you will work closely with the leadership team, leverage your existing client relationships and build a reputation for excellent delivery. You will help build a unique and dynamic transport planning offering to support other parts of the business and build a service that engages directly with clients like TfNSW, DPIE and other clients in the NSW market.

The team and focus

The team seeks to build a broader service offering that will provide strategic transport planning advice in areas like place-based plans, active transport and network planning. The firm has a modelling capability that they feel can be further developed, so an understanding and interest on expanding this is also beneficial.

Why this role over the others in the market?

One of the founding objectives was to avoid creating unnecessary obstacles, bottlenecks and limitations on their teams to deliver great work. The firm provides their team members;

  • The opportunity to work closely with the leadership team, to understand how to position, communicate and pursue opportunities as part of the strategic growth of the firm
  • The backing and support you need to grow the team – you can expect greater autonomy in the decision-making process, and not the more common ‘win the work first’ mentality
  • Recognition and performance are measured on the value you bring to the whole organisation, and not be judged solely on utilisation – the firm has built a culture of ‘shared responsibility’, which has not only supported the firm ability to produce exceptional work but has created a fun and collaborative environment.
  • A reduction in unnecessary internal processes so you can spend the time doing the work you are passionate about
  • The support to invest in software, hardware and the tools you need to improve the quality of work and to be more efficient
